Note to Self
Quick question: At what point have we all become so consumed in every opinion but our own? I've been entertaining this thought for quite some time now.
Just a little secret: it's not about looking good all the time, nor is it about worrying over tomorrow. It's not even about caring what others are thinking about you. I mean honestly; your actions directly affect you, and legitimately no one else. So why allow someone's opinion to prohibit anything you do, especially if it doesn't affect them in the slightest? Live for yourself, and only yourself. The moment we stop caring what others think will be the day we have become too powerful, and in such a good way! Be yourself. Be real. Live in every moment you have, because you truly don’t know when it could be your last. We get so caught up in everything to remember that life paves the way for so many opportunities. We can either take them or stay too concerned with other's and our own fear, to take them.
I think what sets us back is fear. Fear has and will continue to always be a part of our lives, but we get to decide how large its role is. Refrain from stress, but still allow your emotions to escape you from time to time. It’s okay to cry, to stress out - though only when it’s momentarily. You cannot allow the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game. Stressing over anything will only take up time you could be using to attains your goals. Instead of worrying about what anyone else thinks, worry about your health, your faith and mostly your happiness. Never, ever allow someone to make you think differently than you once had. And most certainly, do not allow anyone the power to make you see yourself as anything less than who you are. Your opinion, and solely your opinion, transcends anything anyone can tell you. Noone has the capability to take your opinion away from you, so start to have your own, and stray from embodying someone else's.
